ME AND MY DOG

February 2024

In 2018, Chicken Soup for the Soul published Cate Bronson's story about a remarkable animal, her first rescued racing dog. Her dog Ray was a quirky, atypical greyhound that had a profound impact on her life, so she is honored that “One More Day”, her tribute to Ray, was republished yesterday in the CSS book: MEN AND MY DOG (available at Amazon and bookstores everywhere). As an added bonus, every purchase will help more dogs, with royalties supporting American Humane

ONE MORE DAY

January 2024

Cate Bronson's short story “One More Day” is a tale about her first rescued greyhound, Ray. Her tribute to this remarkable dog is being re-released on Feb 6th in Chicken Soup for the Soul: ME AND MY DOG with the royalties going to charity.

“One More Day” first published in 2018 as Bronson's debut story with CSS, gracing the pages of MY WACKY FAMILY. She is honored for the opportunity to share this touching story again, and even more appreciative that all royalties from this book will be donated to the American Humane. What a fantastic way to start the year, by helping animals in need.

If you would like to know more about this book and the charitable nature of CSS, look no further. Here is a blurb from Chicken Soup's website:

“101 inspiring stories about amazing dogs—and support for a great cause. It’s the perfect recipe for a warm, winter serving of chicken soup.

In keeping with Chicken Soup for the Soul’s support for pet adoption and shelters, the 101 stories chosen for the book from thousands of submissions are not only inspirational and fun, but also feature rescued dogs, including black dogs and senior dogs, which are often left behind at shelters. It’s part of Chicken Soup for the Soul’s mission to make people think “shelter first” when they’re considering adding a new pet to their families.

Chicken Soup for the Soul is donating royalties from the book to American Humane, along with the royalties from its other new book, Chicken Soup for the Soul: Me and My Cat, which will be published on April 16th. This is the eighth pair of books about cats and dogs that Chicken Soup for the Soul has published with royalties earmarked for American Humane. This effort is part of the company’s widespread support for animal shelters and pet adoption, including the donation of Chicken Soup for the Soul pet food and books to shelters across the country."
