A TALE OF TWO AUTHORS

February 18, 2025

Cate Bronson is proud to announce that her husband, Steve Barry, has not only joined her in the literary realm as a published author, but also as a contributor to the Chicken Soup for the Soul franchise. Steve is a master story teller and has a comedic flare. Combine these two talents and you have a recipe for gut-busting stories, like The Garage Door, which marks his debut as a  humor writer. The Garage Door is featured in a recent addition to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, "Laughter's Always the Best Medicine, and is just one of Steve's many fun pieces being crafted for an upcoming humor book.

A RUSTIC TALE OF ADVENTURE AND SURVIVAL

January 2025

It's been a long time in the making but after an unavoidable hiatus, Cate Bronson is once again at work on a full-length project. This is no average tale but a two part saga of epic narrative nonfiction based on real life events--a Depression-era story of adventure and survival in remote regions of Canada.

Blue Mountain is a story about a family that lives on the road, lives on the run, lives on practically nothing to chase a rustic dream. This remarkable story encompasses love, faith, and one small family’s struggle to conquer immense odds in pursuit of Twentieth-century frontiers. It's one captivating moment after another through times and places long since devoured by progress.

Initially written for her family about family "Blue Mountain" evolved into two epic narrative nonfiction books for general publication. The magnitude of this story will draw in a wide range of readers, offering a fantastic journey from the first line to the last with the truest events being the most unbelievable. Blue Mountain is where reality rivals fiction.
